Our specialty grocer project at the Crown Point development in Parker, CO has its initial steel framing up.

Because of Amazon’s buyout of steel bar joist and joist girder capacity in the United States, we were forced to design an unconventional roof framing system of steel beam joists and wide fl**ge girders in order to maintain the construction schedule for our Owner and anchor tenant.

Many thanks to Maxwell Builders for their out-of-the-box thinking and hard work in maintaining the schedule on this important project for the Owner, the Town of Parker, and the southeast metro area of Denver.

G3 Architecture and JCAA Consulting Engineers was in Oakland, CA this morning kicking off a new PoP (Point of Presence) telecom facility with Boulder, CO-based Zayo Communications.

The new PoP facility will replace Zayo’s 20+ year old fiber facility that’s faithfully served UC Berkeley, Google Fiber, Verizon, and Amazon in the East Bay.

The Shops at Stapleton, after an ardous 2 1/2 year entitlement period with the City of Denver, fraught with zoning mis-interpretations and a caustic neighborhood group, broke ground in March. Adjacent to the RTD Aurora Metro Center ‘R’ Line Alameda station, the retail portion of the project will Open in Fall 2020.
