With the temperature starting to drop at night. Now would be a good time to look at your walk in unit’s sight glass. If there are bubbles in it. The system is low on refrigerant. Better to repair now before snow hits.

With the shut down going on with most restaurants and bars. It is a good idea to remove some ice from the ice machine every few days to give it some run time. If the seals in the fill and dump valves dry out and crack the valve will need to be replaced. Putting ice in urinals and sinks can help with sewer gas.

During the spring months many towns flush there water hydrants. If your ice machines, steamers and soda fountains have water filters. This would be a good time to replace them. When the mains are flushed it break scale and settlements free that can clog your filters.

Spring is here this is a good time to think about cleaning your condenser coils. Make sure your condenser fans are running on your walk in units. As the outside air temperature rises so will your condensing pressures. Save energy cost by cleaning your coils. 👍
