Voles! They’re aka field mice. They’re destructive to lawns. They also cannot stand peppermint, garlic or Irish Spring soap.
There are also smoke bombs that do the job on them. Light one up, stick it in the hole and watch smoke belch from all the entries and exits.

Saw an occasional customer who cuts her own grass but uses us for odds n ends, we were both at the UPS store. She has a lawn care company (lots of orange) who fertilizes and sprays her big fancy yard in Eagle Trace. She was asked by them if they could aerate her lawn this year. She told them she’d already agreed to have someone else do it. The dude in orange says, “Is it D Mows? Them guys are pretty good.” 😊

21 years in the business; it sure seems like a company will develop, grow, do high quality work then get absorbed by a big money corporation. Much more often than not the quality of work and relationships w the customers deteriorate.
