Elisabeth here! Today was my first day of volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House. If you know me, you know why this organization is near and dear to my heart. I will admit that my heart skipped a beat or two as I approached the front door. The memories came flooding back immediately but that soon subsided. I have signed up for once a week for now but will surely increase my time. People just need to see a friendly face as they walk through the doors. Some need comfort. Some just need space. The volunteers and staff here are so welcoming and fun. I suppose they have to be! I feel very included and look forward to what next week has in store for me!
