This was a fun project!

Completed Project Spotlight: Washakie County Library | Worland, WY

Construction is now complete for the Washakie County Library expansion. The new area will host monthly ‘Story Time’ and regular arts and crafts activities, giving children a place to explore, imagine, and grow. The WyoMovies renovation in Gillette is transitioning from the Corridor and Lobby phases into what might be everyone’s favorite part of the theater — the Concessions area! Through close coordination with the Owner, Architect, and subcontractors, the Groathouse team is entering the final weeks of construction. The Gillette community is excited to experience their upgraded theater!

I want to see more female licensed electricians, tilers, plumbers, and contractors, —young girls and women looking to enter the trades shouldn't feel like they don't belong in the field because let me tell you I've seen and worked with a lot of amazing women in construction who did an awesome job. It's time we 💪

I recently came across a report that said that 13% of women in Canada work in Construction, compared to 9% in the US. While those numbers are certainly higher than when I first started in the trades, but we still have a bit of a way to go.
