⭐️Company Spotlight⭐️
Today’s spotlight is on Charlie Cahill, owner of Skyward Contracting and the person responsible for keeping about 47 moving parts from catching fire at any given time.
Charlie is the guy behind the big picture, the daily decisions, the problem-solving, the customer calls, the production side, the team management, and all the random things that come with owning a roofing and exterior company. If something needs handled, figured out, fixed, explained, approved, ordered, scheduled, or negotiated — it usually finds its way to Charlie.
He’s built Skyward into a company that is local, hardworking, and rooted in doing things the right way. Not the easiest way. Not the fastest way. The right way.
Before he was leading a company, Charlie was leading teams. He was a multi-sport athlete and captain throughout school, and that same competitiveness, discipline, and ability to bring people together still shows up in how he leads today — both at work and at home.
Outside of Skyward, Charlie is a husband and dad to Elijah, 12, Daisy, 9, and Murphy, 4. He takes being a dad seriously, especially when it comes to teaching his kids the importance of hard work, dedication, and showing up for the people who count on you.
That’s especially true with Eli’s wrestling. Charlie is always in his corner — literally and figuratively — supporting him through the wins, losses, practices, tournaments, early mornings, long weekends, and everything that comes with the sport. He knows firsthand what athletics can teach a kid, and he values helping Eli understand that success comes from effort, consistency, toughness, and not quitting when things get hard.
He and Carly will celebrate 10 years of marriage this September, while also raising three kids and building a business together — which is not exactly a low-stress group project, but somehow they keep showing up, figuring it out, and making it work.
Charlie works hard, expects a lot, and cares deeply about the people around him — even if his face doesn’t always notify everyone of that immediately.
He’s the kind of owner who carries the weight of the company quietly, handles the pressure, and keeps showing up every day to move things forward. Skyward wouldn’t be what it is without his drive, grit, stubbornness, and refusal to settle for “good enough.”
Today we’re spotlighting Charlie for everything he does — for the company, the team, the customers, and the family behind it all.
Owner. Husband. Dad. Leader. Coach from the corner.
And the guy who somehow still answers the phone.
