Wondering what you’re looking at? 🤩

This is the part you usually never get to see. Before the countertops and backsplash go in, you can actually see the lighting system and all of the prep that will eventually be completely hidden behind the stone.

We’re taking this one way beyond a standard kitchen renovation.

✨ Backlit countertops
✨ Full backlit backsplash
✨ Waterfall island
✨ Custom cabinetry
✨ And one seriously dramatic finished space

Once the stone is installed, this lighting will shine through it, making both the countertops and backsplash glow from behind.

This kitchen is going to be unreal! 🤯

THIS is exactly why we walk the house with our clients once framing is up. 👀🏡

On paper, a space can look like it works perfectly. But once you’re actually standing in it, you get a completely different feel for the size, flow, and how you’ll use it every day.

During this walkthrough, our clients realized they wanted a bigger pantry. And this is the perfect time to make that change.

Framing gives us the opportunity to catch things like this before drywall and finishes go in, when changes become much more complicated and costly.

Because sometimes you have to stand in the space to know what the space really needs.

The Sunday House ☀️ is starting to show us exactly why we designed it the way we did! 🤩

Standing inside now, you can really see how the main living spaces are going to connect straight out to the pool and golf course. ⛳️ The large sliders are in, the pool is taking shape just beyond them, and that entire back of the house is going to be all about the view.

Inside, we’re still in the stage where you can see everything behind the walls. The fireplace is installed, MEPs are running throughout the home, windows and doors are in, and crews are moving through the exterior work as we get closer to closing everything up.

There’s still a lot of construction ahead, but this is the point where the plans on paper really start making sense in person.

And The Sunday House is definitely living up to its name. ☀️🏡

PRO TIP 👉 A small upgrade now can give you a lot more flexibility later. 👏

One place that can be worth spending a little extra during your build? Spray foam insulating the garage.

It’s a relatively inexpensive upgrade, but it gives you the option to add a mini split later and turn the garage into a conditioned space.

Think home gym, workshop, hobby space, extra hangout area… or just a garage that isn’t brutal during a Florida summer. 🥵

It’s one of those small decisions during construction that can give you a lot more options for how you use your home down the road.

Small investment. Big return. 🏡

Our team had the BEST night at the HBA Builder Bash! 🎉

A huge thank you to the HBA of Lake and Sumter Counties, Florida for putting together another great event and giving everyone in our local building community a chance to get together and have some fun! We truly look forward to this event every year!

A few highlights from the night ⬇️

▪️ Garett, our site supervisor, won the BIG cash prize after being one of the last tickets standing! At this point, after winning something at the last three events we’ve brought him to, he’s officially banned from outings for the rest of the year. 😉

▪️ Don, our lead wood shop carpenter, had his own moment of fame. One of the boards he made in our woodshop for the event ended up with someone who asked him to sign it! Of course we had to document his first autograph! ✍️

▪️ We loved getting to catch up with some of our favorite vendors and subs. We’re lucky to work alongside so many great people in this industry throughout the year! And of course, getting to enjoy the night with our Hauff Homes team. Safe to say it was a pretty good one! 😎

This is what (man cave) dreams are made of. 😍

This 3,200-square-foot custom garage is officially complete!

From the oversized garage bays and full paver drive to the storage and finishes inside, this space was built to hold a whole lot more than just cars.

Our wood shop built and installed the custom cabinetry along the garage wall, and our team installed the Trusscore wall system to create even more organized, flexible storage throughout the space.

Plenty of room for the toys, the tools, and everything in between. 👏

And a big kudos to Scott, our Site Manager, for keeping this project moving and bringing all the details together from start to finish. 🙌
