her interests. She speaks at garden clubs and plant groups and gives free literature to visitors at her nursery.

I need to clear out a lot of things my husband and I collected over the years and took when relatives died or moved. Some are not in very good condition, but we had plans to reuse them in another way. Upstairs I have old horse collars and haims (?) that my father used to frame mirrors. There are old windows we were going to use to build a greenhouse; the frames may be damaged, but the glass is good. We have multiple old tools because Larry was always going to repair them or use parts to repair others. There is an "antique" night stand he had given to his mother to hold a ceramic wash bowl. I also have a couple of recliners that could be repaired and a wagon wheel table my father built with plexiglass and other old items with a "Lamp fixture" in the center of it. Larry and I both had multiple books and want to be rid of some of them==including three complete sets of encyclopedias. I taught English and had many books around. We tried to give some things to local libraries,, but they had no room or noone to take them.

We accumulated multiple boards and pieces of metal, some quite good but useless to me. Larry was a welder and brought pieces of equipment and left over materials home to make something, but he died April 2025 and left many projects undone. We hauled off one container of scrap metal etc but wonder if anyone out there would like to see what is here and take it. He also had old welding machines and equipment. I run a backyard nursery and have numerous plastic trays that plugs came in as well as some larger pots. I hate to throw things away, as you can tell from this collection.
Please come by Friday May 29, Saturday May 30 or Sunday May 31 to see if you want some of these items. And tell your friends. We do not know how to charge for them, but we would take donations if you have a good idea of value and would appreciate not having to load another dumpster. You must be able to pick it up yourself or make arrangements to move it. I live at1055 Fieldstone Road, Grovetown, GA off the Grovetown-Harlem Highway; call

Am I open Memorial Day? Yes! Please come see what I have in the line of native plants to help pollinators. My normal hours are 9-5 Friday and Saturday with Monday - Thursday afternoons from 2-5 (unless I have appointments) that afternoon. Call first to be sure; someone is almost always here, some family members do not know where the specific plants are located. I can be available after hours if I know to expect you.

DO NOT PURCHASE A WARRANTY FROM CHOICE HOME WARRANTY.
ADVICE FROM A WIDOWED OLD WOMAN:
They gave me a really good deal on a three-year subscription for $1400 which would make my claim fees $75. However, the two claims I filed in January are still unresolved in April. They can't get the hinge for my clothes washer CHW CHW; nor can they get parts for my Kitchen Aide dishwasher. Finally they agreed to send me a gift card to Lowes to replace the dishwasher, but it was was less than 1/3 of the final cost to replace it. And when I gave the cashier the e-gift card, it only had $9 left on it. CHW says someone else used it first. Lowes says contact CHW. CHW gave me the number for the number for Cash Star, the company who issued the gift card, but I can only get offers for Medic Alerts or iPhones from that number.
CHW says they will refund $300 of the 3-year subscription which includes the cancelation fee and the 6 months I "used" it.
Since my husband's death, I seem to have a sign signaling that I am ripe for scam. Is there any way to avoid it anymore?

I have been out in the early morning cool checking my garden and enjoying the peace. Now I need to go repot some things I put in small pots last fall because they now need more room to grow. I am excited to be open from today through the Masters week from 9-5 or later by appointment. Come see the beautiful rebirth of the perennials that overwintered here and buy some to plant in ground for even more space to mature.
If you need extra exercise or volunteer hours for some certification, come help me in the nursery. I am a one-person operation and can always use help. I have new plants arriving the next couple of weeks to pot up and ALWAYS have w**ds sprouting everywhere. Being outside in nature and getting Vitamin D is very healthy for you. No fee to pay here and maybe even a small plant or two. Asclepias and More 706 533 1149.

I am so excited to have Masters week off from Augusta Tech and to be able to have my nursery Asclepias and More open 9-5 all week. Friends have been helping me get ready for serious business, but it is still a work in progress. I have most of the pots back up on tables with clean, new signs identifying their benefits. I will have an order coming in the middle or end of next week with Aruncus dioicus (Goats beard), Caltha palustris (Swamp marigold that I killed over the winter), Carex cherokeensis (nice grass selling fast) , Chrysogonum vir. 'Allen Bush' (Green and Gold which I have had trouble finding), and Eupatorium maculata 'Gateway' (a tall Joe Pye w**d).
Everything I ordered last fall (except the Swamp Marigold) has overwintered and is coming up strong. The fern table was hit by a tree, but many deciduous ferns are popping up anyway. Just because I love them, I have ordered more Christmas fern and four more standard varieties of Asclepias (tuberosa, incarnata, perennis, and syriaca) which will be a week (or more for the perennis) later arriving. It was terrible to run out of Asclepias when everyone was crying for Monarch food last fall. I am also expecting more Viburnum obovatum about then. My viburnum (snowball trees) have outdone themselves this spring. Last but not least, I have already ordered more of the evergreen dwarf native blueberries Vaccinium darrowii but will have to wait until October for their arrival.
I have been learning to do some of the bookkeeping and ordering that Larry did and really miss his help. Thank goodness for my friends and patient instructors.
Gardening is a great therapy and is such fun. Come help me watch the plants emerge and grow and call in the butterflies, bees, dragonflies, frogs, lizards, etc. The yard is alive already, but the best show is yet to come.

After dealing with insurance companies, taxes, and wills for several weeks, it was certainly nice to be back in my nursery yesterday and today. With Cathy's help, I have all the pots in the patio and bedroom area back on top of the tables. Some Virginia Bluebells and Mayapples are coming up!! A few small phlox are already blooming. In my yard the hellebores and daffodils have been stunning and well supported by the camelias and pearl bush and flowering quince.
In other good news, I have gotten in way more than my minimum steps. Do you need a good reason to exercise? I offer plenty of choices without the cost of a gym membership: pulling w**ds, moving pots, repotting plants, replacing ground cover, pushing wheelbarrows. AND there is still the area between the storage barn and the creek where most of the pots are still under the tables. Imagine the toe touches you could complete helping move those to the table top!
I am not sure how much survived the winter. I know I lost two tents to the hurricane and the snow. It is still early for many of the plants to be peeking up, but it is probably a good time to get them into the ground before it gets too hot for them to like being moved. I have an overabundance of silky and red twig dogwoods as well as strawberry bush and New England asters. The crabapple and blueberries are beginning to leaf out. Come see what's growing. You don't even have to come work. I enjoy giving tours and talking plants. No sales required, (but of course appreciated so I can afford to buy more plants to feed my addiction.)
