Lawns vs Weeds, The dilemma is real, especially in the spring. The grass needs food and pre-emergence for protection from unwanted crabgrass later in the year. During these cool temps the broad leaf w**ds are thriving but effectiveness of herbicide sprays seems to be of a futile endeavor. This test homeowners and lawn care professionals patience. Time to crank up the mower, in more ways than one. Do your grass a favor consider increasing your mowing height to 3-4". The biggest benefit is that root development is almost directly proportional to mowing height. The taller the grass the deeper the roots. This helps the grass sustain long dry periods better. It also means that the dormancy period in the middle of the summer is shorter. The taller canopy height also makes for a natural w**d barrier.

We will get lots of questions every spring regarding seeding. The number one question is when is the best time to seed? This can be complicated depending on what is going on in the lawn. Grass seed needs good seed to soil contact, sunshine, and water to germinate. Ideally the best time is after Labor Day. I am as anxious for spring to get here as anyone. By spring I mean some dryer weather.... not spring in a rain forest, or a ground spring, or .... my lawn is nearly a foot tall and I am gonna have to put flotation tires on my mower. I know, i know, enough with the rant about all the rain. Just want you all to know as soon as we learn how to swim we will be out to take care of your lawn, it is all good !!! 😉☔🌞

Really proud of this guy !!! Everyone always asks me what we do all winter. If he isn't repairing equipment or flat out rebuilding it, then he is studying for his next certification to prepare himself as the best Lawn Care Specialist in the business. I am lucky to have him on board and the customers are fortunate to have someone that cares about their lawns so much.
