π Isaias hit hard. If you're reading this, we hope you and your family are safe.
Your safety comes first. Stay off damaged roofs, stay away from downed power lines, and don't go into rooms with ceiling water damage.
When you're able, here's what to do about your roof:
β
Take photos and video of all damage before touching anything.
β
Cover openings to stop more water getting in. Tarping is a temporary fix, so keep your receipts.
β
Call your insurance company and start your claim.
β
Call a licensed roofer for a real inspection.
β οΈ Storm chasers are already out. Verify any contractor's license at MyFloridaLicense.com before they touch your home, and never pay a big deposit to a door-knocker.
True Grit Roofing is local, licensed, and insured. Our license is CCC1337434, so look us up. We're here for our neighbors in Gulf Breeze, Pensacola, and Milton, and we'll be here long after the cleanup.
