Want the economy to grow? Give fathers more parental leave to allow women to continue their careers. "If the gap between the proportion of women and men in the workforce were to be reduced by half, economic growth would be boosted by almost 2.5 percentage points." according to the OECD.

Rich countries have made very little progress toward reducing gaps in income and power between men and women over the last five years, according to a report published Wednesday by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.
