As I sit and reflect on my day, taking mental notes, going over checklists, and such.....I thought about how I'd planted 4 rose bushes when we moved in this house 4 years ago. I allowed myself to get lost in the thoughts of what I've been able to do in this time and how bare my yard was when we got here. Not a single tree, bush, flower, or plant. Today, I looked around and realized that these red roses have never bloomed until now. I took note of the fact that I have also never fertilized them or trimmed them because I wanted to grow wild and crazy, on their time. I've thought about pulling them up and relocating them to a place in the yard that has been pampered.... Now, I think I'll go back to my original desire: grow wild, grow free, and bloom where you're planted.
