🌲 Removing a Storm-Damaged Cedar Tree in Oklahoma 🌪️

High winds recently took down a large cedar tree here in Oklahoma. The tree had a co-dominant stem, meaning it had two main trunks growing together. Unfortunately, this made it structurally weak, and with the added stress of strong winds, it failed.

Upon inspection, we also found brown rot inside the tree. This type of decay weakens the wood from the inside out, making it brittle and prone to breaking, especially during storms. Once a tree reaches this level of deterioration, it becomes a hazard and needs to be safely removed.

🌳 A Farewell and a New Beginning 🌳

We had to say goodbye to a beloved old elm tree—a giant that had stood tall for decades. Sadly, time and disease had taken their toll, and it was no longer safe to let this beauty remain.

But where one chapter ends, another begins. 🌱 In its place, we planted a sycamore tree—a symbol of strength, growth, and renewal. While we’ll miss the shade and memories of the old elm, we look forward to watching this new tree thrive for generations to come.
