This is the final day of the Bell Contracting Grand Opening Going Out of Business Sale. We've sold a lot of neat stuff that we've gathered up over the last 50 years, and we still have a lot of neat stuff left. One thing I've realized is that some things are pretty job specific. There's probably not 1 person in a 1000 who stops in that needs a pneumatic hardwood floor nailer, and 1 in 500 that needs a triple LVL hanger, but there's probably something here that you need. Bell Contracting has been in business for 50 years. I was discussing a couple of building inspectors we had issues with over the years. We've outlasted a lot of inspectors in a lot of counties, cities, and towns in that time. Some were friends, some were acquaintances, some that didn't know a hammer from a hole in the ground, and some I don't miss a bit. 😆

These are concrete roof shingles that were manufactured by the Favorite family on South Street in Hagerstown. They were installed over slats that they hooked on to keep them from sliding down, and wired to a slat to keep them from lifting off. I've only seen them installed on one roof that I know of in over 50 years, (they resemble asbestos shingles so perhaps I've seen more and just didn't realize it.)
