Yesterday, we welcomed representatives from Glynn County Management, Glynn County Engineering, and the City of Brunswick to our new Atkinson Asphalt Plant.

Members of our team showed the group around the plant and shared more about our work in the area.

It was a great opportunity to strengthen relationships as The Scruggs Company continues growing and serving communities throughout Coastal Georgia.

Today, we recognize two longtime members of The Scruggs Company team.

Misael Villarreal is celebrating 20 years of service, and Victor Lopez is celebrating 15 years. Both have dedicated many years to our paving operations, showing up each day with hard work, skill and a commitment to the people around them.

Our new Atkinson Asphalt Plant is officially up and running, expanding our ability to serve communities across the region while creating new opportunities for growth. This investment strengthens our presence in Southeast Georgia and helps position us to support the area's continued development for years to come.

We’re grateful to have a great group of interns with us this summer across The Scruggs Company and Robinson Paving Company.

These students are pursuing degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering, Construction Engineering and Technology, Engineering Management, and other related fields.

Throughout the summer, they’re learning from our teams and gaining hands-on experience in the field.

They’re also seeing the work that goes into building and maintaining infrastructure across the communities we serve.

We’re thankful for the energy, curiosity, and willingness to learn they’ve brought to our team this summer.
