I had the absolute honor to donate the arrangements as a gala committee member for the St. Jude gala this year!💐❤️ I had the best help and we had fun while doing it. The theme was “Research in Bloom” and each detail from the gala was beautifully tied into the theme🌸 St. Jude holds such a special place in my family’s heart and I am honored to be a part of this amazing committee to help fundraise and help make a small difference❤️ What an incredible night raising money for St. Jude! PSA‼️ Fresh cut flowers from a local stand NEED more water than grocery store flowers👏💦 Fresh-cut stems drink so much more water because the stems immediately begin pulling water to replace what they’re losing, especially during the first 24 hours after cutting. Clean, cool water changes DAILY is key. Cut the bottoms fresh for extra-extra vase life😉💐

Zinnias this year vs last year! They’re taller, healthier, happier, growing faster, and already producing more prolific blooms this season! What did I do different?!👇🏽
• Top dressed the whole garden with fresh nutrient- rich soil from Saratoga Sod Farm
• Opted for no landscape fabric this year.
• Planted WAY closer together! Where I was doing 9”-12” inches, this year I did 4”-6” It forces the plants to grow taller.
That’s simply it!☀️I’ve done everything else exactly the same year to year, and at the same exact time. Do you switch up what you do in your garden every year?!
