Happy New Year!! As 2024 comes to a close I want to express my gratitude to all of my clients, family and friends who have supported me on this crazy journey. When I started out on my own I could not ever had imagined what this would turn into. This last year (well if I am being honest, the last several actually) has been filled with awesome projects, amazing clients and of course as every small business owners knows turbulence!! The highs definitely out weigh the lows and I am thankful every day for taking the plunge into small business ownership. I am horrible at posting jobsite photos and utilizing social media - something that I intend to do better at in 2025, but I promise you there have been so many great ones!! So keep an eye out to see what I’ve been up to.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Happy New Year and may you all be blessed with love, laughter and wonderful new memories in the upcoming year

A little late in posting but these are "AFTER" photos of a main floor turned major whole house renovation from this past summer. The project included removing a separating wall between the kitchen and dining room allowing for a more open floor plan. Resizing 2 walk in closets to create an actual laundry room with closet area and separate mudroom entry. New windows, doors and siding were installed on the exterior taking this modified two story from boring to bold. The interior renovations included stunning ceiling vault details which include T & G wood ceiling and custom reclaimed barn wood beams. The once small kitchen now has tons of storage and room to move. Beautiful custom two-toned cabinets, large island, professional appliances, quartz countertops and fun new plumbing and lighting fixtures created the ideal space for cooking and entertaining. The traditional fireplace and wood mantel system were removed and a new lineal fireplace unit and stone surround with custom built-ins were added. The powder bath received new mosaic tile floors, custom vanity, and shiplap wall. The mudroom entry now boasts a drop center and boot bench where the washer and dryer once were. The washer and dryer were moved into their own space allowing for better flow throughout the heavy use area. The 2nd floor kids bath was updated with a new tile shower, tile floors, custom vanity, and plumbing fixtures, while the master bedroom received new hardwood flooring in lieu of carpet and fun textured wallpaper for a simple design. New hardwood floors, carpet, trim, custom stair system and a fresh coat of paint throughout the main and 2nd floor round out this great transformation!

This project is one of my favorites as the transformation is astounding. This extremely busy family of 5 was constantly on the move with 2 professionals and 3 teenagers all involved in sports and school activities, their life was nothing short of crazy. Then……COVID hit, and things slowed down as workplaces and schools were closed. The plans were already in the works to redo the kitchen, but the full scope came to light after finding out what their needs really were. They felt the house was dated with the dark rich wood tones, beech wood floors and broken up rooms. They wanted to open the space up so they could gather as a family but still spread out enough for everyone to have the room they needed to do whatever task necessary.
We started by gutting the kitchen, removing both pantry closets, separating hallway walls, and enlarging the sunroom opening to create one large space with several areas to cook, work and relax. We then removed all the existing beech wood flooring throughout and took down the dark wallpaper in the powder bath. New oak hardwood was installed and finished in the same color light stain as the cabinets. The gorgeous new kitchen cabinets are a combination of enameled pieces mixed with rift and quarter white oak with a light stain. The center island is HUGE – giving great workspace, lots of storage and seating for 5. Professional appliances, stunning quartz countertops and great details like a pot filler, prep sink, new lighting and backsplash were used to give the space the finishing touch. In place of the old closet pantry, we installed a custom bar cabinet with butcher block countertop that adds extra storage as well as beautiful design element. The sunroom was turned into a multi-purpose room boasting and coffee/smoothy bar, beverage center, tons of countertop space, a workstation, and a place to sit and relax. The entire main floor was repainted in a light airy color. The carpet was removed from the upper stair well and wood treads and risers were installed giving it the added richness they desired. The powder bath facelift included enameling the existing wainscoting, adding a new floating vanity and fixtures, and installing a fun patterned wall paper. The dining room area was separated by arched openings that were squared off to enlarge them and give them a more updated feel. New lighting was installed throughout the main floor and new carpet was added on the lower stair system.
In the master suite, I removed the existing dark vanities that were lacking storage and installed new enameled cabinets with lots of great storage, concrete looking quartz countertops with a built-up edge, new mirrors, bath and lighting fixtures were installed to give a modern feel.

Check out this complete main floor renovation!!
When I initially met with this family, they expressed concerns about the function of specific areas within in the kitchen. Namely the island and the lack of adequate storage for the busy family of four. After some discussion and concept designs, they decided to take the plunge and go for a complete renovation to not only the kitchen, but the entire main floor and the finished product is AMAZING!!

We removed all the kitchen cabinets, all the flooring, the stair parts, interior trim and replaced the front, porch, and patio doors. The new kitchen design included moving the refrigerator, adding a decorative hood, and venting system, adding a microwave cabinet with beautiful glass doors above and creating a huge island with lots of storage and seating. The custom cabinets were designed for function as well as appeal. We choose to finish the cabinets in a two-tone design featuring a beautiful soft white with a contrasting dark stain. New stainless-steel appliances, quartz countertops and gorgeous new tile back splash help create the fresh but cozy feel.

There were multiple flooring types throughout the main floor that included 2 different kinds of tile and a laminate wood floor. Once removed, we installed stunning hickory floors and finished them in a custom light toned stain. All new millwork and a fantastic, reclaimed beam were installed along the vault line running through the kitchen and living room area. The old oak stair system was replaced with fantastic new custom created metal rail system and alder newel posts and handrail stained to match the cabinets, then finished with a fun chevron carpet.

The fireplace area was reframed to go to the ceiling to create a space for a TV in the living room and add a feature wall in the dinette area. We installed a magnificent 3-sided fireplace, new natural stone, a reclaimed mantel to match the beam and then finished the upper portion with a fun twist in vertical shiplap. All the windows on the main floor were enameled to match the new millwork and a fresh coat of neutral paint was added to the walls.

The project turned out wonderfully cozy and created the function and flow the family was hoping for.

Working on another fun renovation! We’re going to remove wall separating kitchen and dining room to create a large open floor plan that will include custom cabinets, quartz countertops and professional appliances. We’re also doing some creative reframing of 2 existing walk in closets to create an actual laundry room vs the shared laundry/mudroom that was previously in place. Additional updates will include new windows, beautiful new hardwood and tile flooring, trim, fireplace and surround. Check back often to watch the progress!!

Check out the amazing basement re-finish! The homeowners had lived in this home for 10+ years and over time their basement needs have changed. With the kids getting older, they decided it was time to create a great space for the kids and adults alike.
We started by removing the small existing bedroom area to open up the space and create more room for entertaining. The storage room was split to create a separate exercise room with French sliding barn doors. We then swapped the existing patio door location with the existing windows and added a 9' bi-fold patio door to really bring the outside and inside spaces together. Next, we installed a 3 sided fireplace unit with a fantastic reclaimed beam and natural stone façade. The bar area host a beautiful custom made walk behind bar with a combination of wood and quartz tops and a T.V. hidden behind a photo frame for watching the game. The family room is a comfortable place relax and watch a movie or the big game. If you prefer a little excitement you can shoot pool, play darts, or take your chances on the custom built arcade console
