It's been two long and grueling weeks of him fighting through the impact of a double whammy illness - flu a and strep pneumonia. Jackson is a pediatric cancer warrior, so fighting through something like the flu and pneumonia is even more critical when your body is already medically compromised.

His case was so severe that his mom tells us that his body went into septic shock. He needed to be sedated and put on a ventilator.

"The 1st week was terrifying, as he was in very critical condition and his constant needs for medical intervention triggered the PTSD we have from our time in the PICU following his brain cancer surgeries."

Jackson had further complications the next week. His body has been extremely fatigued and critical - requiring the ECMO machine. This is a more intensive ventilator that Oishei uses for very critical patients.

"We are heading into our 3rd week staying positive, having hope and keeping faith that this upcoming week will be one of more progress. Thank you in advance for loving on our boy and little family."
