As the new season approaches, I find myself reflecting on the past 10 years. In 2016, I took a leap of faith and started this lawn care business full time. I remember my grandfather encouraging me to build something of my own. When I saw the faith he had in me, I told him I would give it a shot. He gave me a loan to get started and I never looked back.

The beginning wasn’t easy. There were doubts, and I was told more than once that I needed to find a “real job.” But they didn’t know my work ethic or my faith in God.

Today, I’m incredibly grateful as I think about the family, friends, and clients who have supported me along the way. I truly wouldn’t be here without you.

Thank you for helping me get to where I am today and for giving Crowell’s Lawn Service the opportunity to serve you!

I’m blessed to have this opportunity to continue to serve my community with other individuals who are passionate about giving back. Thank you to everyone that has supported me over the years and helped me get to where I’m at today!

Introducing our 2024 Grand Marshal:

Justin Crowell is a Livingston Parish resident. He has a local lawn care business, Crowell Lawn Services, where he has been taken care of taking care of his neighbors throughout the Livingston/Tangipahoa area for the past 8 years. If you run into Justin you will likely find him making someone smile. He grew up playing baseball in Ponchatoula, played for Ponchatoula High School and then went on to play for Louisiana State University Alexandria. He loves hunting, fishing, and the outdoors.

Justin got his passion for service watching his dad over the years. Killian First Baptist Church Food Pantry was started over 6 years ago by David Crowell and you would find Justin each month up there at all hours of the night making boxes and getting ready for the next give out. He continues to serve the community by volunteering with the food pantry helping feed around 200 families each month.

Justin loves spending time with his family. He is recently engaged to Jessica Bass, who also shares his passion for serving others. They will be getting married in October.
