One year at GGB Architects and Gage still hasn’t realized we’re keeping him forever. 🤝

What started with discovering architecture in 2017 somehow spiraled into earning a Bachelor of Architecture from Louisiana State University, interning with GGB during summer breaks, and then accidentally becoming a full-time architect.

Gage’s design process can best be described as:
“Try something cool. Break it. Fix it. Make it cooler.”

And honest, it works. His Rock Climbing Center project in Bedford, VA, was even selected for an AIA showcase in New Orleans. Casual.

When he’s not designing, Gage is usually sketching, watching anime, getting way too competitive over chess, planning trips, or convincing himself that “one more video game” won’t keep him up until 2 AM.

Fun fact: he studied abroad in Paris for four months and dreams of owning a vacation home in Japan someday... so if he randomly disappears, we’ll know he made it. ✈️

Happy 1-year anniversary, Gage! Thanks for surviving your first year with us. 🎉

A place designed with comfort, care, and community in mind. ✨

GGB is proud to celebrate the completion of Heritage Manor in Mandeville , a space created to support residents with warmth, dignity, and a true sense of home. From thoughtful design details to welcoming gathering spaces, every element was planned to foster connection, comfort, and quality care for the community it serves.

Projects like this remind us that architecture is about more than buildings, it’s about the people who will live, work, heal, and create memories inside them.

Thank you to everyone who helped bring this vision to life.

Let’s Build Something Beautiful Together.

A career built from the ground up.......literally.

Since 1983, Bret Gasaway has brought a hands-on perspective, a sharp eye for design, and a deep respect for every client’s vision to GGB. From the SLU Penington Center to healthcare facilities across the region, his work reflects a belief that every project starts with “the Big Idea.”

Beyond the office, Bret’s love for the outdoors, his family, and the lessons passed down from his father continue to shape who he is, both as a leader and as a person.

We’re honored to celebrate his journey, his impact, and his continued dedication to building something meaningful.

From churches to schools and the restoration of the iconic Roosevelt Hotel, Garry’s work reflects precision and purpose.

Outside the office, you’ll find him gardening, building, and embracing Louisiana traditions.

Community is at the heart of everything we do.
We’re honored to share this from the Hammond Regional Arts Center and highlight Pam Bankston’s role on the board. Supporting the arts helps shape the culture and creativity of our region, and we’re proud to see that impact up close.
Shoutout to Chris Bankston and his family for being part of something so special.

Thank you to the Hammond Regional Arts Center Board of Directors! This dedicated team works behind the scenes to set goals, shape strategy, and—most importantly—put in the work to bring those goals to life. 💪 They lead committees, they volunteer for programs and events and they spread the message of the importance of art in our community!

A special thank you to our Executive Committee, each working on specific goals:
Treasurer Lauren Kimble-Smith for strengthening our financial health and sustainability; Secretary Seth Pevey for expanding our reach and helping revitalize our literary arts programming; Vice President Jeffrey Talbot for championing board initiatives and leading thoughtful facility improvements that enhance both safety and the visitor experience; and President Jordan Kenning for elevating our programming and exhibitions while deepening our connection to the community.
