It is with an extremely heavy heart that McIntosh Forestry Services announces the passing of one of our own, Josh Tidwell.
Josh was far more than a worker—he was a friend, a teammate, family, and in many ways, a business partner. He poured his heart into everything he did and took more pride in his work than anyone we’ve ever known in this industry. His dedication wasn’t just evident—it was unmatched.
In our line of work, where danger is always present and trust is everything, Josh was the person you wanted by your side. When you were 100 feet in the air, trusting that everything below was set just right, Josh was on the ground running ropes with absolute focus—making sure you were safe, even when everything else out there was trying to make sure you weren’t. That’s who he was. Reliable. Steady. Courageous.
His loss is immeasurable, and the void he leaves behind will never truly be filled. We are devastated, and our hearts go out to his family, friends, and all those who were lucky enough to know him. We will miss his laugher, smiles, passion and most of all his constant whistling.
Please keep Josh’s loved ones in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.
As we navigate this incredibly difficult time, we kindly ask for your patience and understanding. Josh was a cornerstone of our operations, and while we work to grieve and regroup, there may be delays or adjustments in our usual schedule. Your support means the world to us. ❤️
Fly high, Josh. We will miss you deeply. Ride with the wind up there in heaven.
