Right there at their new construction home—still framed in and full of possibilities—he got down on one knee and asked her to spend forever with him. And she said YES! 🥹

Meet the builder behind Russell May Homes. 🏡

For Rusty, building homes is more than a career—it’s a craft he’s spent more than 20 years refining.

Born and raised in North Carolina, Rusty learned early the value of hard work, discipline, and showing up for the people who count on you. After playing collegiate baseball at Liberty University, he found his way into the building industry as an apprentice for a local builder—and quickly realized he had found what he was meant to do.

Today, Rusty and his college sweetheart are raising their four children in the Hampstead area, the same community where he has built his business and continues to build homes for local families.

Over the years, one thing has remained constant: the details matter.

That belief is at the heart of Russell May Homes. Every custom home is approached with craftsmanship, integrity, and an understanding that it should feel distinctly like the family who will live there.
