What a huge accomplishment!!!! Support girls on the matts

On this day two years ago, Wrestle Like A Girl was founded. Over the course of the past two years, WLAG has hosted numerous camps around the country, has made its impact in High School State Sanctioning, and is working relentlessly to be granted emerging sports status within the NCAA.com NCAA Wrestling.

We’re incredibly ecstatic as we look back at the work that’s been accomplished in a short time span but we also acknowledge our supporters like yourself that have made this all possible. “A candle never loses any of its light by lighting another” and today Wrestle Like a Girl thanks YOU for continually lighting a fire within our organization and your community as well.

How ironic that it’s and our organization’s second birthday so what better time to release our updated High School State Sanctioning graphic?! Take a peek below to celebrate the transformation of high school state sanctioning in the US and the growth of our sport!

Another great step towards women wrestling!!

North Central College has announced plans to expand its athletic department to include a 27th varsity sport beginning in the 2019-2020 academic year, as the Cardinals will enter the competitive arena in the sport of women's wrestling.

Sports are so much more than just a game and can do so much more for our children. With the way the world is today, and how hard it is for kids or any one really to learn confidence and acceptance they need something to help them find it. Finding a sport they love is a perfect way to work on it.

When it comes to girls, those who play sports are more likely to report being happy the way they are, spend less time on social media and have good relationships with fellow girls, according to a new report.

New England Wonder Women Classic

As I sit here this morning and think about all yesterday entailed and all that took time out of their busy schedules to help out I am super thankful and grateful.

After the 16 hour work day most of us had, I sat on my couch and scrolled through Facebook. I was amazed and super proud of all the great wrestling posts I saw. From New England Wrestling families we have met along the way. I tried to comment on as many as I can but it’s not possible.

I wanted to take this moment to say THANK You.

With the continued support of Youth and Hugh school Programs I look forward to continue to make our Region more incredible for these kids and continue to work to hold onto the largest all Girls tournament in New England.

Stay tuned for more from me, wrestling isn’t going away, we are here to stay and so are my posts!
