What started as a weekend project turned into a slightly longer project, but I finally got the new bookcase completed for my living room! The two-tone color turned out really nicely and it was the perfect size for our needs. Just finished installing this awesome custom kitchen island for some friends!

This was a challenging project because I had to maximize functionality within a fairly limited space. This island includes a regular cabinet, a cabinet with a set of 6 drawers, and a cabinet with two tilt-out trash can doors. Top it off (literally) with a beautiful acacia butcher block island top sealed with Rubio Monocoat hardwax oil and voila!

This island turned out amazingly and it was very fulfilling to design, build and install for this awesome family.

I saw an idea for a portable puzzle box that's big enough for large puzzles, but also gives you the option of putting the puzzle away for those times you don't want your dining table completely taken up for several weeks (or months). Got a new toy in the shop and already putting it to the test! The wife saw an engraved cutting board she liked and I decided to give it a go. This white oak end grain cutting board turned out beautifully and I can't wait to do more engraving projects 😎

What a busy Christmas season! It was so much fun to make a variety of gifts and create some of the most memorable gifts yet.

1. A set of the most ridiculously figured spalted maple cutting boards I've ever seen

2. Another maple/walnut gradient board (I forgot to take a picture after it was oiled 😵‍💫)

3. A set of bread boards with some gorgeous koa, olive, padauk, hickory and more!

4. A pair of 3D wooden Christmas trees
