HAPPY Friday Peach family! The Peach Crew is already on the road this morning, out serving some of our AMAZING customers. The weather is getting warmer out and that means that pests are coming out more too. Earlier this week we touched on those pesky carpenter bees. Today we’re going to talk about wasps.

*Wasps are a part of the bee family.
*Wasps don’t swarm. They fly in colonies that form self-contained communities, each following a caste order of queens, males, and workers.
*Like male carpenter bees, male wasps don’t have the ability to sting. The females are the only stingers.
Check out the photos below that our Peach Crew took on a call.

In the 1st photo you’ll see a wasp nest in all its glory. We think it’s safe to say that these wasps were trying to send us a message. They clearly were NOT happy that we knocked down their previous nest. So when they rebuilt this one, they were sure to let us know.

In the 2nd photo you’ll see something pretty strange but oddly cool. In the photo you’ll see where a Boxelder Bug has claimed a pesky wasp for his dinner. The Boxelder bug is siphoning the “juices” out of the wasp. We must admit that we appreciated his help in ridding the wasps for us.

HELLO Peach FAMILY and HELLO March. It’s officially the month of Spring. The temperature outside is getting warmer and beautiful flowers are starting to bloom. That means that those pesky carpenter bees are starting to make their debut too. Did you know these facts about carpenter bees?

*Carpenter Bees don’t eat wood but they will bore holes in wood for nesting purposes. Holes in the wood can allow moisture intrusion, rot, and decay. The large larvae developing in the wood tunnels attract woodpeckers who seek out the larvae and cause more damage.

*Male carpenter bees are harmless and are the ones that hover around nest. The female carpenter bees can sting but only when provoked.

*Carpenter bee eggs are usually laid in the spring. Throughout the summer, the pupa is being developed and by the end of the summer, the adult bees are out.

YOU WON'T BELIEVE WHAT WE FOUND DURING THIS RODENT CALL!!! You've got to see the video of it!

We received a call out to a residential property for rodents. Once we arrived on site, we checked for entry points around the outside perimeter of the home. That's when we came across something much bigger!
