They’re heeeere! Time to start checking the undersides of your squashes, cucumbers, & melons for squash bug eggs. Doing this now will save you from being completely overrun with nymphs & adults later. Squash bugs have piercing/sucking mouthparts (like mosquitoes). They drink juices from stems and leaves, which in severe cases can kill your plant. Thankfully, they’re easy to control if you stay on top of things. Squish eggs with your fingers & drop nymphs and adults into a container of soapy water. Happy hunting!
