Sill plates are structural beams that connect the foundation of your home to the framing of your house and is one of the most important parts of a timber frame home.

Because of it's location, it is exposed to elements that can lead to rot which can cause more extensive concerns including movement in other structural framing, sagging floors, and cracked plaster or drywall. At Quiet Corner Restoration, we restore and replace sill plates frequently to preserve the structural integrity of historic buildings.

If you suspect there may be deterioration at the base of your home, give us a call today at (860) 412-5145 or reach out through our contact page on our website!

Exciting work being done at Strong Family Farm!

After excavating and pouring a new foundation, we honored the building’s history by incorporating a stone veneer shelf. This feature reuses original foundation stones, seamlessly blending the old structure with the new!
