Just how much has the Federal Government's cancelation of Solar power cost the Country? Here are the numbers...E2, a clean economy tracking specialist, says private and federal cancellations have slashed US solar, wind, and storage investments to the tune of $24 billion in canceled projects with an estimated loss of 21,000 jobs through September. Republican voting districts have suffered the greatest losses, shedding $12.4 billion in investment and losing approximately 15,000 jobs. These are major investments in America's energy infrastructure that are gone with a corresponding loss of American jobs.

“The loss of these projects is a setback for America’s workers and competitiveness,” said Michael Timberlake, communications director, E2. “For every cancelled factory or downsized plant, behind the scenes many more projects are not being announced at all as more capital flees and businesses look overseas to invest instead. That means fewer paychecks, less local investment, and fewer opportunities for U.S. workers to lead in the industries of the future.”

Major Facelift to the 1840's B&M Rockingham Junction Station - Harmony Energy Works had the opportunity to work with Shawn McGowan, owner of the Rockingham Junction Station, to provide the building with an 18.72KW solar Array with two All-Earth dual axis trackers and 36 American-made Silfab 520W solar modules. The bi-facial modules are projected to produce over 33,000 KWh each year.

Senate committee bill takes the hatchet to clean energy tax credits (Go Solar Today)- The Senate Finance Committee has forwarded its draft of the “One Big Beautiful Bill,” in an ugly outcome for U.S. clean energy. In a notably anti-consumer and anti-small business move, the 25D residential solar tax credit is eliminated 180 days after the bill is enacted into law. The same goes for the residential efficiency projects, batteries, and heat pump credits - all are eliminated within 180 days of enactment.

There is still time to move ahead with your solar installation - The most excellent solar array, shown here, that we recently installed in Stratham NH, is an 8.8KW array that produces about 11,115 KWh each year - offsetting for the homeowner over $2,700 in energy savings annually. The homeowner also received almost $12,000 in tax incentives.

Budget Proposal to Strip Away Solar Tax Credit - If you have been following the recent budget news, then you have heard that the proposed budget seeks to strip away the 30% Federal Income Tax credit for residential solar by the end of 2025. In some very inverted thinking, the argument has been that solar for residences is "elitist." It is anything but - it is truly "Power to the People." While we don't know if this will become reality, it certainly looks dangerous for solar for your home. If you are interested in zeroing out your electric bills, while the 30% ITC still exists, it is still early enough to have your home solar plus battery storage installed and live before the end of the year. We just completed the installation of a 112.32KW Solar Installation for the folks at Seacoast Power Equipment in North Hampton, NH. The system features 216 Silfab 520W modules and SolarEdge inverters. Because of the special situation with the 50% USDA REAP Grant, NH state rebate, 30% ITC and depreciation, the array will be paid off in less than a year. Harmony Energy is unique in that they write the USDA REAP Grants for their customers. The American-made panels have a 30yr warranty. Currently there are only two additional quarters for grant applications that have been announced by the USDA - Dec 31, 2024 and Mar 31, 2025, after which the grant returns to the 25% level. There are just two more opportunities to submit an application for the 50% USDA REAP Grant. The deadlines are June 30th and September 30th. after that the cash grant returns to 25%. The USDA REAP Grant is available to farms and small businesses (located in a rural area). With the current 50% grant and the other incentives, your solar array will be fully paid for in less than a year - with a profit and 25+ years of free electricity. We have submitted grants, in the past, for ice cream makers, book stores, horse farms, and apple orchards. Below is the latest array, we just installed for Dana's Towing and Repairs in Hampton, NH.
