From a big mess to a clean slate, efficiently remediating a demolition pile takes skill! This is what was left after a storage unit fire. The operators separate this mess into essentially three products- metal, concrete, and trash. The metal is hauled to a scrapyard to be reclaimed into new steel, the trash is hauled to the local transfer station, and the concrete is hauled to our stockyard to be processed into a recycled road base material!

Update on the new tennis courts for the Charlevoix Raiders! Our crew on site has made quick work getting the subgrade and drainage completed. Thousands of cubic yards of unsuitable soils had to be excavated and hauled off site, followed by the hauling in and placing of an even greater amount of suitable base material. It’s now time to let Van Kalker Construction Inc. move in and really make this project look pretty!
