One benefit of using the Vacuum Process is our ability to cast much more complex geometries compared to typical sand casting. Our sand holds its shape using a vacuum system that is ran through the pattern and a flask containing the sand. By using these small vent holes strategically placed in the pattern, the vacuum system is able to tightly draw the plastic film around the pattern, leaving a highly accurate impression of the part in the now hardened sand. By relying on a vacuum system over bonded sand, we can handle complex geometries and zero-degree draft capabilities.

One feature the V-Process is able to achieve is the smooth surface finish right off of the mold line. While typical sand casting can only achieve up to 300 rms finish, the V-Process can reach up to 150 RMS finish. This is just one of the many unique capabilities of the V-Process.
