Pay is based on experience

This person will...

* Assist Mechanic with major repairs
* Conduct general maintenance and minor repairs on trucks and equipment, such as but not limited to oil changes, checking fluids, and greasing equipment
* Keeping work area clean and safe

Must have familiarity with both gasoline and diesel equipment

Dump Truck Driver Wanted
Porter Sand and Gravel is seeking a motivated, full-time Dump Truck Driver to deliver materials to
locations throughout Kent and parts of Sussex County. Offering competitive wages with opportunity for
over time.
We do operate five days a week year-round with occasional part time Saturday work as needed.

Qualifications
* Valid CDL
* Clean driving record
* Current DOT Medical Card
* Minimum 3 years’ experience driving tri-axle dump truck. Off-road experience is a must.
* Knowledge of safe operating techniques and ability to operate loading equipment
* Ability to comprehend and carry out instructions
* Ability to work both independently and as a team member
* Prompt and dependable

**References and driving record will be checked

Responsibilities

* Deliver materials to job sites in a timely manner according to schedule
* Inspect truck for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventive maintenance in
compliance with DOT guidelines. (Examples: Fluids, lights, tires, etc…)
* Maintain a clean truck including windows, cab, bed daily and wash outside of truck as needed.
* Operate truck in a safe and professional manner on the road, at job sites and in pit area.
