🌧️⚡ With the recent flash flooding across the Cincinnati area, it's a good time to remember that floodwaters can create serious electrical hazards.

Keep these safety tips in mind:
💧 Never walk through standing water if it could be in contact with electrical equipment.
🔌 Don't use outlets, extension cords, or appliances that have been exposed to floodwater until they've been inspected.
⚡ Stay far away from downed power lines and always assume they're energized.
📱 Report downed power lines to your utility company and call 911 if there's an immediate danger.

Our thoughts are with everyone who has been impacted by the recent storms. Stay safe, look out for your neighbors, and never underestimate the dangers of electricity after a flood.

Proud to support the future of the electrical industry! ⚡⛳

AC Electric had a great time attending the IEC Greater Cincinnati Golf Outing as a guest and Hole Sponsor this year. Events like this help support IEC apprenticeship and training programs while bringing together so many great people in the industry.

A special congratulations goes out to our very own 4th year IEC apprentice graduate, Aaron, for winning a raffle prize during the outing! We’re proud to have hardworking team members like him representing AC Electric.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the event such a success — we’re already looking forward to next year!

🌼 May Electrical Tips for a Safe & Comfortable Home ☀️

As the weather warms up and you start spending more time outside, it’s the perfect time for a quick electrical check-in:

✔ Test your GFCI outlets (especially in bathrooms, kitchens, and outdoors)
✔ Make sure outdoor outlets have weatherproof covers
✔ Check extension cords for cracks, fraying, or wear
✔ Use only outdoor-rated cords and power strips outside
✔ Keep cords away from water and high-traffic areas

🌬️ Bonus Tip:
Set your ceiling fans to rotate counterclockwise for summer—this pushes cool air down and helps keep your space comfortable. And don’t forget to dust those blades before turning them on!

A few simple checks now can help keep your home safe, efficient, and ready for the season ahead ⚡
