People, when you get into a relationship with somebody, please make a plan for your furbabies if it doesn't work out! My name is Anamoly, I am 9 year old female, and I found myself here at Noah because such plan didn't exsist with my people. I don't know why they did not "fight each other" for me though, I am basically perfect!

No seriously, I am pretty much the whole perfect kitty package! I absolutely love people- I love to be pet, I love to hang out with you (heck, I will even follow you to the bathroom if you need some support!), and I am honestly the best listener ever! Also, I live in a room with other kitties here, and they don't bother me at all!

We are open tomorrow from 12pm-4pm, come in ask for me, Anamoly!

Pesto is 112 pounds of “PLEASE LET ME MEET THAT DOG.” 😂 And honestly? That’s one of the things we volunteers love most about him.

Pesto is WOOD TV8’s Pet of the Week, and this handsome Irish Wolfhound/Lab mix is an extrovert in the truest sense. When we get him out of his kennel, he has to stop at each of his neighbors’ doors to touch noses. Spot another dog outside? Pesto wants to go say hello.

Earlier this week, Pesto had a visit with the shelter vet to make sure everything was okay. That meant we volunteers didn’t get to walk him that day—and, honestly, we kept asking staff how he was doing and when we could see him again. We missed our big guy!

When we do get him out, sometimes we don’t even make it very far before Pesto leans into us for pets.

Of course, we stop. Because apparently, underneath all 112 pounds of Pesto is a lapdog who is just waiting to find his people.

And we’re hoping Saturday is Pesto’s day.

MHS is currently taking bids for culvert work near our entrance. We’re also looking for large landscaping rocks to finish the other side of the sign.

Reminder: Summer heat can be tough on your dog’s paws! 🐾☀️

Before heading out, check the temperature, avoid hot pavement, and plan longer walks for cooler mornings or evenings. Paw balms like Musher’s Secret or Bag Balm can also help moisturize and protect those paws all summer long!
