In between the raindrops, we completed this recycled asphalt millings driveway for a return customer. An asphalt millings driveway is as close as you can get to a paved surface at a fraction of the cost. It also lasts longer, sheds water, and is better for snow removal than gravel or traffic bond. We recently received a call from a customer who stated that their 40-foot culvert had failed and was collapsing in on itself. We assessed the situation and provided an estimate the same day. In the following days, we removed and replaced their failing culvert with an 18" x 40-foot dual-wall pipe that will never rust and will stand the test of time. We were also asked to regrade and topcoat their long gravel driveway, which we did with a 2-degree crown from center to edge on both sides for proper water drainage, and then vibratory rolled to proper compaction. Glad to help out another great customer!

We recently completed a land clearing job in Hustisford, WI, for a new house location. The customer hired us to clear a 1-acre area of dense woods to make room for a prefab home, septic, and well system. Once those systems were installed, along with the cement slab completion, we were brought back in to backfill around the slab, spread topsoil, and rough grade the area. This was a fun project to work on, and we look forward to more projects like this in the 2026 season!

Recently, we completed this jumbo block retaining wall, complete with a drainage system behind the wall, as well as buried downspouts, and a gravel parking pad on the top side. Here is a before-and-after look at a job site where we were hired to level out existing piles of crushed asphalt mixed with gravel and traffic bond from a driveway and parking lot tear-out that had been replaced with concrete some time ago. After roughing everything out, we utilized our dual slope laser and grater blade to match the contour of the existing ground in the surrounding area and create a slope for proper water drainage and runoff. This area can now be utilized as parking area for this business.

Return customers have once again entrusted us to improve their land! We performed land clearing of 35+ trees, thinned areas to maintain shade for a shad mix plot, and created a full sun plot. To balance the pH levels, we brought in 70 yards of aged compost and 6 tons of agg lime. We also managed to squeeze in another wildlife pond.

We have added a new piece of equipment to our fleet. We recently acquired a 96" laser-controlled grader, which enables us to grade with precision to within a 1/4" while increasing production speed. The grader will be used for various flat work projects, including concrete slab prep, building pads, parking lots, driveways, athletic fields, and horse arenas. Additionally, we can utilize dual slope for drainage swales and water runoff solutions. From start to finish, we backfilled and final-graded around a new shop, then installed a new gravel driveway and extended the culvert. First, we excavated organic and non-structural soils, achieving proper compaction through packing and vibratory rolling. We laid out a woven geotextile fabric, hauled in 62 tons of 3-inch dense-grade stone, and spread it in 4-inch lifts, compacting between each lift. Additionally, we hauled in 50 tons of 3/4-inch traffic bond, spreading and compacting it in 4-inch lifts. The final result is a driveway that will stand the test of time!
