The Shore Things team descended on Fenway Park Friday night for our annual “summer concert series” at the Chris Stapleton concert. As we near the 3rd anniversary of Shore Things Environmental, I’m left with a few thoughts.
First, I’m grateful for my team and everything we’ve accomplished together. I’m grateful for each one of them joining me on this leap of faith while we turn the vision of Shore Things Environmental as the benchmark of a full-service wastewater company into a reality. I’m proud to stand side by side with each one of you as we work toward achieving our goals. To those who have joined us for moments along this journey, those who have lent a hand or given advice, those who have fixed our equipment, our marketing team, our amazing vendors and partners: we would not be where we are without you.
Second, I’m grateful to our customers who have given us the opportunity to earn their trust. I promise to continue striving to earn that trust every time you call, whether it’s pumping a septic, clearing a clogged drain line, repairing a septic system, or connecting them to sewer. We will not let you down.
Third, I’m grateful for my family and the belief and support they’ve given me every day since I set off on this journey. I’ve been pushed beyond where I’m comfortable more times than I care to admit. I’ve faced self-doubt and “character building moments” that have made me dig in and find inner resolve I previously didn’t know I had. To my kids who still see me as a hero when I walk through the door every night: you are my strength and reason for what I do. To my wife who has stood by me and supported this dream without question or hesitation, who has picked me up when I’ve been down: I could not do this without your uncompromising love and support.
Every day I am humbled to be surrounded by so many amazing people in my life. I am eternally grateful for the opportunity laid out in front of me. I’ve always been about the journey, and not the destination. It’s a good thing as the last 3 years have been a hell of a ride so far!
