Having a large bathroom can be equally frustrating as having a small bathroom when it is lacking functional space! While this recent renovation had a generous footprint, the floor plan allocated an unnecessary amount of room for the toilet, leaving the shower area to feel cramped and cave-like. This, paired with low hanging soffits and inconveniently placed storage, resulted in a guest bath that felt closed-off and clumsy. By reworking the layout, we created space for a luxurious wet room, while maintaining ample storage through the utilization of vertical cabinetry. Not every renovation calls for an ultra modern overhaul. This 1930’s craftsman, and its’ owners, yearned to repurpose their tiny kitchen and underutilized side room into a spacious, entertaining worthy space, complete with abundant storage, a dedicated work space and a picturesque view of their new platform deck (also by Lakeland Remodeling).

While the aesthetic feels consistent with the original space, due to the punchy colors and eclectic wallpaper, the updated layout of the side room and inclusion of pantry and wet bar makes the space more user friendly. In addition, the installation of French patio doors continues the available entertaining space into the backyard.
