I took pride in crafting this 15' custom built-in desk from scratch, handling every step of fabrication and installation. The full build is constructed from 1/2 and 3/4" Baltic Birch, while the drawers are made from 5/8" Baltic Birch. I carefully milled the face frames, door frames, and drawer fronts from maple, incorporating recessed MDF panels for a shaker look. I milled the top out of solid walnut and finished it in Rubio Monocoat Pure, complemented by a desk bridge featuring two pencil drawers built with the same attention to detail.

All drawers operate smoothly on Blum Movento self-closing undermount slides, and the cabinet shelves are height adjustable. Heavy-duty file hanging hardware supports letter and legal-size folders, and the electrical setup allows for flexible plugging options without compromising the walnut top. LED accent pin lights offer multiple color options and dimming capability. A center junction box awaits a picture sconce to be installed after painting is completed, as well as the installation of customer chosen hardware on the doors and drawer fronts. The painting is being done by others. I'll post final pictures once the project is 100% completed.

The customer is beyond thrilled with the final result.

This deck renovation was a long time coming. Unfortunately, I don't seem to have many before pictures of the original deck. It was originally old Trex decking with white pvc railing and white Azek skirting around the deck. There was an old rain capture system underneath which, while keeping it dry, did nothing to protect the framing. After getting everything back to framing I discovered that not only did all of the 4x4 railing posts need to be replaced, but a good portion of the framing as well as the main beam. I replaced the 6x6 posts on that beam as well. I also discovered that both sets of steps needed to be reframed. One was already included as the run direction was changing.

After all of that I got into the finishing of the job. The first step was installing a Trex RainEscape system to handle the rain management. This system consists of vinyl troughs that are fastened to the top of the joists and lay inside the bay which run the water out to the edge of the deck and down through included downspouts into a gutter. Everything is sealed with butyl tape and/or caulk. The beauty of this system is that it covers all of the framing so no water will touch it, giving the structure the longest life possible. The old Trex decking was replaced with Wolf composite with hidden fasteners. Color matched fascia around the deck completed that. The old pvc railing was replaced with TimberTech composite railing in black with matching gates so their pets are able to lounge out on the deck with no fear of them getting out. Stair lights and post light caps were also a new feature. The walls around the pool were updated from the T1-11 plywood to vinyl siding, matched to the house, and custom screens with polyvinyl inserts that block winter wind and are removeable for the warmer months.

The job ended up being a beautiful deck that the customer loves and will last a lifetime. Special thanks to Jim Tsigos and Tsigos Construction for assisting in the reframing, rain management, & decking install.

This one was an unusual request but the customer needed facilities on the first floor and this was the only spot. Turned their back-to back coat and supply closets into just that. Space was very tight but managed to get a wall hung toilet and small sink in to fulfill their needs.

Custom cabinets and tops for an office renovation in Lansdale.

I made the cabinet carcass', doors, drawer fronts, and end panels from maple plywood, with maple edge banding where needed. Face frames and end panel stiles were made from solid maple. The pull outs and drawer boxes were made from pine plywood. I mounted the doors with soft close hinges, drawers and pull out trays set with full extension, soft close glides.

Show faces were stained in a semi custom color I made from readily available stain to try and get as close of a compliment to the existing cabinetry. Everything, inside and out, sealed in a semi gloss clear finish.

I made the desk top's out of mdf and formica with solid maple edging stained the same as the rest of the cabinetry. A small chamfer on desk edge to soften the corner.

Custom built in storage nook. Customer didn't want any trim on wall, to give it a seamless look. I built the unit out of solid plywood, with 1x solid edging on shelves. There will be wallpaper installed at some point so I color matched the white in the wallpaper to paint the unit in so it will carry from the paper into the unit. I added a chamfer to the inner edge of the carcass, and to each of the shelves, to soften the edge and make it look like the wall just flows into the box.

Basement renovation. Replaced carpet with Pergo laminate flooring, installed new ceiling tiles throughout, upgraded lighting throughout, new devices, and mill work. Mill work included new doors, casing, and custom pass through book shelf with column wrap. Nice to see that odd gap from the wall to the column have a purpose. It also defines that rear area more, which will be used as the TV lounge.

The soffit dividing up the kitchen ceiling was removed, lighting upgraded, and island pendants were added. All of the electrical devices were updated to Decora style as well. The wall between the two closets was deleted to allow a bi parting door to be installed for one large pantry. The tiles around that wall needed to be removed and solid tiles added.

The new pantry closet was outfitted with a custom made shelving unit as well as a unit to mount pull out wire baskets. Lighting was also added to the pantry.

Full bathroom remodel in Roslyn.

I replaced the three piece acrylic shower surround with a full tile shower using customer choosen 12x24 tiles for the walls, and basket weave mosaics for the floor, as well as the back of the niche. The shower substrate is Wedi board and fully waterproofed along with a vinyl shower pan and built up curb. Niche shelf was made using same slab as shower curb to match look. A full size, clear glass door completes the shower.

The rest of the bathroom was updated to give a fresh look. The pedestal sink was replaced with small vanity for storage and to hide the piping. All fixtures were updated to satin nickel. The stick down floor tiles were replaced with LVP in a gray wood grain pattern. All trim was replaced as well with new 5 1/4 ogee base and 1x casing.

This porch is the front side of another larger porch job.

This was in pretty bad shape too and required complete replacement of one of the support posts as well as through-bolting the front joist, as it was leaning out approximately 3/4". The porch had been framed using 4x10 beams as floor joists sitting on cinder blocks on dirt, which had eroded. I fixed the structure and secured the existing beam joists properly, and then added new joists and the through-bolts for a solid frame.

The same Zuri decking as before was used for the skirt, perimeter, and filed boards. Scribe work was needed for the perimeter boards going around the stone and turret area.

Railing is made using Timbertech to match railings on the side porch I did, and another pre-existing smaller side porch. I made the post sleeves out of 1x material and made the caps to match existing caps on the smaller porch. Timbertech no longer makes the railing in this color, but my supplier was able to track down enough, plus a little extra, from various warehouses, fortunately!

After the owner has the painting redone, this porch will continue to provide years of enjoyment.
