A project by Gretchen of the California Central Coast using our Aquifer pipe and our videos for instructions.
Statistically 70% of the calls we get are from the lady of the house, of these 50% will do all the diversion themselves and hire out the trenching part of the job.

We are out in California helping a friend install a system.
He’s going to use the Greywater to grow a vegetable garden and trees 🌲

Cherimoya and Atemoya trees are now in season. Great spring fruit. Collecting seeds this year to plant and grow trees in South Central Los Angeles area. Great urban farm fruit with a high dollar value $15 a pound.

End goal is two or three orchards that we help veteran's establish. A way to bring economic resilience to the urban community.

Hey everyone, I made this quick video. Not only does my DIY Greywater subsurface irrigation system save water, it also prevents weeds.

In this video we're going to show you how to bury the Aquifer Pipes.

It's very important to know that there are gaps underneath the Aquifer Pipes so if you just start throwing dirt right on top of them you'll make them unlevel.

The first thing that to do is to put dirt on the sides of them.

The next thing is to push the dirt underneath them.

Slowly work from the end of the pipe all the way to the front.

When the pipe is all nice and tucked now you can start just putting dirt right on top of it.

This is a perfect time to take advantage of the current situation and do something for the planet that will last beyond this crisis. We just finished a video series “How To Install A Shower To Lawn DIY Greywater System - The Complete Guide”.
A lot of cities give rebates that cover most if not all of the parts and supplies. Long Beach, Pasadena and Tucson all give rebates.
This is the perfect time to install one being that it’s spring (the ground is soft) and we’re all stuck at home. If you worried about going to Lowes to buy the supplies all you need to do is order everything online and they will have it all at the door for pick up.
If this is not for you, please pass it on to someone who you think would like it.

In this video we're going to show you how to do the water leveling procedure.

Water will be coming out of all of the seep holes equally from one end of the pipe to the other when it's all done correctly .

It's very important that you do not move the front end. You can move the back end or the middle but you have to keep the front end level to the header, this is your reference.

First thing is to make a little adapter, it keeps the water from flowing out the front of the pipe. Cut a 4 inch section from a 1.5 inch pipe. Attach a 90 to it. Insert (Do Not Gule) it into the reducer coupler.

Get a hose and put it into the end riser. Turn on the hose and then you're going to see the water start coming out from all the seep holes.

Turn it off when it starts to overflow from the Aquifer Pipe.

The next step is to grab dirt and start leveling it. Put it underneath some sections. You might need to remove dirt underneath it to lower it.

Keep adjusting it until you see the water coming out of all the seep holes from the front end of the pipe all the way towards the back. Make sure that it's not overflowing in one area and not dry in the other.

Glue on the final section to the end riser once it level..

The next step is very important that you do it correctly or you're going to unlevel the pipe. That is burying the pipe. There is a process of doing this. We do it very gradually so please watch the next video on how to bury the pipe. We will give you all the details on how to do that.

The first thing to know is that everything in the trenches are all level. Everything is gravity flow so they all have to be level to each other. This is to ensure that the water gets pushed evenly throughout the whole system. The header pipe is the reference point it's the starting point
for all the Aquifer Pipes.

The first thing you want to do is just lay the header pipe in the trench, do not cut it and do not glue it. Then level it.

The next thing to do is put a temporary six inch extender into the reducer coupler (do not glue it). You’re just using it to see if it’s level to the header.

Now that you got the extender and the Aquifer Pipe level to the header pipe, secure the Aquifer Pipe with some dirt so that it doesn't move around DO NOT FULLY COVER THE AQUIFER PIPE just tuck it in on the sides.

Leave the channel open because the next thing we're going to do is the water level
procedure. This is to get the complete Aquifer Pipe level.
