Today we did a little tune up on some work done by a previous contractor who didn’t have a clue.... this is a huge problem I run into in Idaho where things don’t get done correctly the first time. Exterior stairs always should be pressure treated stringers, it’s also always a good idea to properly calculate the number of treads and risers so you don’t end up like the last picture here where the stairs go to far into the walkway.
