Zehner graduated from CSU with a degree in agricultural business and returned home to Hayden after some time had passed in order to create his future. Recognizing the difficulties of continued agricultural development with his family's

ranching activities, he jointly founded Precision Excavating, Inc. Zehner. The company grew from a handful of pieces of equipment to now over 80 pieces of heavy Caterpillar machinery. bought his father's share of the business and still works in the trenches as owner and operator of this family-run business, along with his wife and two sons.
