We’re proud to have helped bring the new Credit Union of America location in Hays to life!

From the early stages of construction to the final details, our team worked on the roofing and metal work for this project. It turned out great, and it was exciting to see everything come together.

Yesterday, we had the chance to attend the grand opening and celebrate with everyone involved. There’s nothing better than seeing a project go from the ground up to opening its doors.

A big thanks to everyone who contributed to making this project a success. We’re proud to be part of projects that help our communities grow! Simpson Construction Services

Roof Age = Risk Factor

Older roofs are more at risk during storm season. Years of exposure to the weather can weaken materials, seams, and flashing. This makes them less able to handle heavy rain and strong winds. Knowing your roof’s age and condition helps you get ready before severe weather arrives.

Your Roof’s Weakest Points

Edges, valleys, and penetrations are often where damage starts. These areas handle the most water flow and are more prone to wind uplift and seal failure. Regular inspections targeting these high-risk spots can stop small issues from becoming major leaks.

Spring Rain = Real Roof Test

Winter can weaken a roof, but spring rain is when problems finally appear. As steady storms pass through, hidden damage from snow and freeze-thaw cycles often leads to active leaks. A post-winter inspection can spot issues before they disrupt your building.

Roof Life vs. Roof Warranty

Warranties cover a specific period, but many roofing systems work well long after that. The key difference is risk. As materials wear out and coverage ends, minor problems can lead to larger costs. Planning ahead helps you avoid surprise expenses.

Why Roof Repairs Are Sometimes Time-Sensitive

What starts as a small puncture or loose seam can quickly turn into a much bigger issue, especially during storm season. Wind-driven rain can force water into even the smallest openings, which can lead to interior damage and expensive downtime. Tackling repairs early helps protect your building and your budget.

Commercial Roofs After Winter

Snow load, moisture, and constant temperature changes can create hidden stress on your building. Even if everything looks fine from the ground, small problems like trapped moisture or seam separation can lead to costly repairs later. A quick inspection after winter helps catch these issues early and keeps your roof working as it should.
