Losing water in a pool is easy to dismiss.
Evaporation is normal, especially during warm Bay Area summers, and most pool owners are used to topping off the water level from time to time.
But there is a significant difference between normal evaporation and an active leak — and knowing which one you are dealing with can save you thousands of dollars.
A simple way to check is the bucket test.
Fill a bucket with pool water, mark the water level inside and outside the bucket, and leave it on a pool step for 24 hours.
If the pool loses significantly more water than the bucket, you likely have a leak.
Pool leaks can originate from several places — cracks in the shell, deteriorated fittings and valves, damaged plumbing lines beneath the deck, or failing seals around lights and returns.
Because most of these components are hidden underwater or buried underground, locating them requires specialized equipment and technique.
Our technicians use pressure testing, electronic listening devices, and dye testing to isolate exactly where your pool is losing water.
Once detected, we can also handle the repair, restoring your pool to full operation with minimal excavation or disruption to your deck and landscaping.
We serve residential pools, commercial aquatic facilities, spas, and decorative fountains throughout the Bay Area.
If your pool water level seems to be dropping faster than it should, schedule an inspection before the problem grows.
