This has been catastrophic. Our locksmiths felt this blast and it was other worldly. The door of our building opened with force, insulation still scattered all over our property. Many have commented on the local articles discouraging assistance, saying that the family will receive a big payout… let’s remember that in the meantime, we have children who lost everything they own, just days before Christmas. These folks are on a long road to recovery and have no where to go when discharged. They’re going to need socks, underwear, groceries! Every bit will help.

"They have burns all over their bodies and broken bones." For the first time, Jorge Duenas Ponce is speaking, giving a voice to his brother, sister and niece who were inside the Hayward home when it exploded.

Traffic is still being redirected via Paradise Blvd. But you’re clear to access us via Hesperian/Meekland. We’re grateful to all our customers making the trek!

We are closed today folks- our neighborhood was impacted by a horrible tragedy today. Here at the shop we are safe- but our hearts go out to our neighbors! We are waiting on the safe restoration of utilities so we can resume our normal operations.

We are closed the remainder of today due to the explosion and subsequent power outage in the neighborhood. Per the county- please avoid the area. We require power to reopen and have been told it may be 48 hours…
