Another cast iron repair in the books!

This customer gave us a call after noticing some heavily rusted sections of their cast iron and galvanized piping. Fortunately, we were able to get out there, assess the situation, and replace the problem areas before they turned into a much bigger issue.

Cast iron and galvanized pipes can last a long time, but age, corrosion, and rust eventually take their toll. Catching these problems early can save homeowners from costly water damage and emergency repairs down the road.

Cast iron repipe from a couple days ago!

This customer had been dealing with a leak in this 4” cast iron line for quite some time. They were constantly using silicone to temporarily stop the leak because they didn’t want to deal with the high cost they had been quoted elsewhere.

They gave us a call, and we were able to get everything taken care of the right way.

Great bathroom addition project!

We recently wrapped up this basement bathroom remodel, and we’re really happy with how it turned out. This space originally started as a small basement bedroom, but the homeowner wanted to turn it into a full bathroom without having to tear up a bunch of concrete.

Using a macerating toilet system allowed us to make that happen while keeping the project much less invasive. We worked with the customer to come up with a layout they were happy with and then brought it to life from start to finish.

We built the platform, framed the shower walls, installed the shower base and surround, and ran new drain and water lines for all three fixtures. The new macerating pump was installed behind the toilet in the storage room to keep everything looking clean and finished inside the bathroom itself.

We also installed new flooring and trim, finished the ceiling, and hung and finished the drywall. The homeowner hired their own electrician for the electrical portion of the project.

Overall, we’re extremely happy with how this one came together. If you’ve been thinking about adding a bathroom to your basement but want to avoid tearing into concrete, give us a call and we’d be happy to talk through your options!

As we approach Memorial Day weekend, we want to take a moment to thank all of the men and women who have served and continue to serve our country. We’re incredibly grateful for the sacrifices made by so many so we can enjoy the freedoms and opportunities we have every day.

This one was a fun project!

We’re extremely happy with how this repipe turned out. The existing cast iron had multiple areas patched with silicone to hide leaks, and the customer was dealing with venting issues that were causing poor drainage.

We were able to rework the drainage system and properly tie in a vent for both bathroom groups, which made a big difference in overall flow and performance.

Since the home’s water lines had already been updated, this was the perfect time to clean everything up—giving the space more headroom and opening up plenty of options to finish off the bathroom ceiling.

We were fortunate to help out on this one with Custom Cut Carpentry, LLC!

They’re in the middle of insulating and framing out the basement and brought us in to wrap up the bathroom rough-in. Luckily, most of the drains were already in place from when the home was built, so it was just a matter of making some adjustments and finishing things off the right way.

We reworked the drain line to fit a bathroom vanity instead of a utility sink, tied in the shower trap, and stubbed it up above floor level. We also ran water lines for the shower valve, vanity, and toilet.

Everything is set up and ready to go, and we’re looking forward to seeing how it all comes together once it’s finished. Big thanks to Ezra at Custom Cut Carpentry for bringing us in to be a part of it and help bring this customer’s vision to life!
