Post 3 of 3! And finally.. new flooring for the entire house! ✨

The last part of the project consisted of removing all of the particle board and install new 19/32 BCX plywood over the existing 1/2” layer of plywood.
We then installed 4 new prehung interior doors and 2 new bifold doors. We installed new baseboard through the house as well, then installed the LVP (Concord by Eastern Flooring Products) and finished with new painted shoe molding.

Post 2 of 3.

The second portion of this project consisted of converting 2 small full bathrooms into 1 large beautiful bathroom with a roomy shower!🚿

This involved gutting both entire bathrooms to the original layer of plywood.
When we inspected the floor joists and found a few of them cut in half and very poorly supported, resulting in the floor sagging almost 2 inches. This required us to reframe a good portion of the floor system by doubling up joists and installing double headers to support the load.
After the framing, we had to plumb a new drain system to account for the new shower, toilet, vanity, and washing machine.
Next, we installed our shower pan, and plumbed out walls with shims. We installed Go-Board waterproof foam board on the walls and filled screw holes and seams with Go Board Sealant & Adhesive.
We tiled the walls with 12x24 Satori Statuario polished porcelain tile with Laticrete Tri-lite thinset. It was grouted with Permacolor Select Smoke Gray.
We installed new drywall, finished and painted, a new vanity, new toilet, flooring, and trim.
