A look back on the year 2025…
To say the least it was a very busy year here at Solar Montana. We started 2025 with a remodeling project on our new shop/office. It was a dream twenty years in the making that was finally realized when we moved and started operations in May. We have loved the new space and are continuing to evolve it with retail opportunities. Special thanks to Brian Lehl and Wapiti Builders for their work on the remodel.
We celebrated our 20th anniversary of business on Earth Day with a BBQ and raffle off. Kids playfully ran through the new shop, while past customers and past employees came to jog memories from the deep recesses of our minds. Twenty years is a long time, and we felt so humbled by the passing of this great milestone.
Once installation season was in view, we really hit the ground running with the busiest season on record, much fueled by the sudden loss of the residential tax credit in July. It was full bore here for a solid 6 months. And due to the efforts of our wonderful team, we completed every project that we had promised and many more that were on our wait list.
Projects of interest:
Twin Creeks Apartment: Combined DC capacity of 70.7 kW between two buildings.
Heritage Museum: We were able to wrap up the second phase of the Heritage Museum solar array with the total DC capacity of 117 kW.
Helena Food Share: 54.38 kW
And many residential systems of every type with a growing emphasis on batter back-up.
As we look into the new year of 2026, we will continue to work hard to provide quality work, competitive pricing and innovative solutions for your energy needs. This is an ever-changing landscape and we are so grateful to be a part of this industry and community.
