To celebrate National Puzzle Day, we split into teams and dove into a challenge. With edge pieces in the middle and hidden easter eggs, these puzzles kept us guessing (and laughing) the whole way through. Turns out, solving a Magic Puzzle is a lot like great design – collaborative, surprising, and full of twists.

No winner yet, but we’re not done puzzling. The best outcomes happen when creative minds come together.

Our team supported Jefferson High School from pre-bond planning through design, working with the local community to identify key priorities. The project included upgrades to safety and building systems, along with flexible, accessible spaces that support academics, art, music, athletics, and career-focused learning.

We’re proud to have helped shape a school that serves many paths – and many people.

In a region where animal care is closely tied to the land itself, the Rocky Vista University College of Veterinary Medicine campus in Billings was designed to bring learning outdoors. We organized the site around a central green space aligned with building entrances, creating clear movement and shared outdoor areas. Native plantings, shaded walkways, and integrated stormwater systems support a resilient landscape that enhances the student experience throughout their daily routines.

Instead of focusing on a single “best” piece in isolation, we build the right combination. Fabrics, finishes, and materials influence one another in subtle ways, and this stage allows us to see and feel how everything works together. Sometimes it reinforces the plan, and other times it opens a new direction worth pursuing. It’s a practical, essential step in aligning ideas and materials with our clients’ vision, creating one clear direction as we bring their space to life.
