Most calls start the same way: an early morning phone ring and a grower saying the pivot stopped mid-field overnight.

Our crews are usually rolling before sunrise this time of year. A stalled system during harvest prep isn't just an inconvenience, it's lost time on days that don't have any to spare.

That's the part of this job people don't always see: guys under the tower before the coffee's even done brewing, running diagnostics with headlamps still on because the field hasn't caught the light yet.

Forty-five plus years in, and that part hasn't changed. We show up. We fix it. We move to the next field.

What does your morning look like this time of year?

August heat doesn't care about your schedule. Your pivot can't afford to skip a cycle right now, not with corn deep in grain fill and dry beans bulking up ahead of harvest.

We've seen it happen before. A grower pushes through a weird noise or a slow leak because everything looks fine from the truck. Then a hot week hits and the system can't keep up when it matters most.

If your pivot is acting off in any way, even a little, call us today. We're running full crews across Box Butte, Dawes, Sheridan, and Scotts Bluff counties, and we'd rather fix it now than after the damage is done.

End summer check-in: how is your irrigation system actually holding up?

You're deep into peak season. Your pivot has been running hard for weeks. And honestly, there's probably at least one thing it's doing now that it wasn't doing in May.

Maybe it's a sound. Maybe coverage looks a little different in one zone. Maybe everything seems fine and you just want confirmation. All of those are valid reasons to call us.

The growers who stay on top of maintenance now are the ones who make it to harvest without a major repair bill. That's not a pitch. That's 45 years of watching how this plays out.

Comment below with one word that describes how your system is running right now. 👇 We're listening.

This one's for our technicians.

While most people are trying to stay cool this July, our team is out in it. Long days, back-to-back calls, driving across Box Butte, Dawes, Sheridan, and Scotts Bluff counties to make sure producers don't lose a single irrigation window.

They're diagnosing panel failures, replacing gearboxes, tracking down pressure issues, in the kind of heat that makes the inside of a pivot tower feel like an oven. They do it because they know what's on the other side of every repair. Someone's corn crop. Someone's alfalfa cutting. Someone's dry beans that need water today.

We're proud of this team. If you've had a Sorensen tech out to your operation this summer, drop a 🙌 below. We'll make sure they see it.

The most expensive irrigation repair is the one you kept putting off.

A gearbox starts making a new sound in late June. Nothing looks obviously wrong. You keep running. By August, it's failed completely, and now you're looking at a full replacement, a parts wait, and multiple days of downtime in the hottest stretch of the season.

We see it every summer. And almost every time, there were warning signs.

Peak season puts more stress on equipment than any other time of year. Our team is running extended hours right now specifically to help growers catch problems before they become emergencies.

Preemptive call beats emergency call every time. 📞 (308) 487-3880 | sorensenirrigation.com

It's peak season. Your pivot doesn't get a day off. Neither do we.

Our techs are running hard across Box Butte County and the surrounding region right now, because when a pivot goes down in July, every hour of downtime hits your crop directly.

Here's what we see every summer: a grower notices something's off, tells himself it's probably fine, and two weeks later it isn't. If your system is showing any of these signs, don't wait:

🔴 Uneven water distribution
🔴 Unusual noises from pivot components
🔴 Frequent shutdowns or panel errors
🔴 Visible leaks or reduced coverage

We're local. We're fast. We've been keeping Panhandle pivots running since 1980. 📞 (308) 487-3880

We get asked all the time: why does sprinkler package design matter if the pivot is already running?

Here's the honest answer. Sandy loam soils near Hemingford don't behave the same as heavier clay profiles a few miles over. A nozzle setup that works great on your corn ground might be completely wrong for your dry beans or alfalfa. Elevation changes across a single field affect how water moves through the root zone. Wind out here is relentless and it affects drift and application uniformity more than most people realize.

A pivot that's just running is not the same as a pivot that's performing.

Tanner and our team have been navigating these exact variables across the Panhandle for decades. If you've ever wondered whether your system is actually dialed in for your specific ground, that's exactly the conversation we want to have. Give us a call. 📞 (308) 487-3880

Used pivot shopping? Here's what most people skip, and then regret.

The tower structure looks fine. The span pipes look straight. So they buy it. Then they find out the control panel is 15 years old and can't support variable rate applications. Or the nozzles are so worn out the application rate is completely off. Or the drop hoses are cracked in three places.

We've seen it. More than once.

When you buy used equipment through us, we evaluate the structure, the electrical system, and the sprinkler package before anything changes hands. And if upgrades are needed to match your field and your pump setup, we'll tell you upfront.

No surprises. Just honest equipment advice from people who've been doing this since 1980. Reach out if you've got a used pivot on your radar. 📞 (308) 487-3880 | sorensenirrigation.com
