They wanted to get rid of the flat roof on the Porch. So….they asked me what I would do? I went to the drafting table and came up with this plan. New hand cut scalps, faux brick siding, new stamped porch , new windows, new gutters , new roof, couple new dormers and 1 nice big reverse gable.

Skilled Carpenter Wanted
Location: Hemlock, MI
We’re a well-established local residential builder looking to add a full-time experienced carpenter to our growing team. Most projects are within an hour of Hemlock, though occasional in-state travel may be required.

What We’re Looking For:
A reliable, skilled carpenter with a solid work ethic and a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship. Candidates must have:
• A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Full-time availability (Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM)
• The ability to provide examples of past work
• Strong, verifiable references

Primary Responsibilities:
• Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and verbal instructions
• Perform material takeoffs and assist in planning tasks
• Carry out framing, installation and/or repair of:
o Windows and doors
o Cabinets and shelving
o Siding and trim
o Flooring and drywall
• Contribute to remodeling projects and custom builds

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• Proven carpentry experience with a portfolio of completed work
• Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Pay: Competitive, based on experience.
