Nothing quite says “Texas” like a log cabin with green pastures, blooming cacti, and waving flags surrounding it… This home-place definitely checked all of the boxes! The only thing it was lacking to be perfect was a roof that didn’t leak! We were so happy the owners chose us at Whole Armour Roofing to install this 24 Gauge Snap Lock Standing Seam roof with a Galvalume finish for them. With hemmed eaves, hips, ridges and rakes and no exposed fasteners, this hilltop cabin should stay high and dry for a looonnnggg time… even by Texas standards. 😊

This beautiful home is a Milam landmark. Set on a hill and nestled in the woods, it was my wife’s childhood dream home. When the call came for us to install a new roof, she was pretty excited. The owner chose a color we had never installed before (which is always fun for us) and had to be special ordered. Completed in June, this roof is Owens Corning Duration in the color Colonial Slate. What a fitting color for the 4th of July!!!! Thank you to the owners for choosing Whole Armour Roofing to DEFEND YOUR CASTLE.

With half of 2024 already gone and the 4th of July celebrations already upon us, we thought we would take the next few days to post some pictures of homes we have been honored to be able to help preserve. This home in San Augustine was built in the 1800’s and is such a beautiful piece of Texas history. We are grateful that the owners trusted us at Whole Armour Roofing to be a part of its restoration. Completed in April of this year, this is a 24 Gauge Snap Lock Standing Seam roof in the color Charcoal Gray. We think it is beautiful!

On this Thanksgiving Day, our family at Whole Armour Roofing is so thankful. It’s not that this past year has not met with its share of challenges, losses, ups and downs. We have laughed and cried, been discouraged and beaten down. We have made our share of mistakes and had our moments of victory. We have celebrated our first year of owning our own business. It has come with its own share of challenges and rewards… This year has been full. This year has been hard.

But today, through grateful tears, it’s seems like the year of all years to kneel and thank our Lord for all we have. No matter how little… no matter how hard… it is so much!! So many in this world are hurting. So many are lost. If ever there seemed to be uncertainty and instability on all sides, this is the time. And yet, we have a hope that is sure. We have a future that is eternal. We have a Savior that is loving and kind. He is so good. Through the good times and the bad times, He is so good!

So we cling to Him, and we thank Him. And we say, “Happy Thanksgiving!!” May your day be blessed.

In my profession, many times there is a need to make urgent repairs to my work truck while on the job.

Due to the inclement weather in Texas, I decided it was time to replace my windshield wipers. ;)

Sorry for not posting for a while. Work has been very busy lately! We are starting another new job today. This home has two layers of shingles which makes the job much more labor-intensive, and Temps are forecast to be greater than 100° every day this week! At Whole Armour Roofing, we take steps to be careful and keep our crew safe, but it helps when our customers are so amazing and supportive. This homeowner has provided us an ice chest full of ice, Gatorade and water; and she is having Subway delivered to the job for lunch! We definitely have the most awesome customers (who usually end up feeling like our family). At Whole Armour Roofing, we love our community and are thankful for the opportunity to work here among it. Thank you! – Jaron.

Today, I would like to wish an extra special “Happy Father’s Day” to the extra special fathers I have been blessed to have in my life — Tom Rach (Left), John “Doc”Sessions (Middle) and Jaron Sessions (Right).

My father-in-law (“Doc” Sessions) is no longer here to celebrate with us today, but he left behind a legacy of generosity and care to all who knew his gentle and mischievous ways. I miss Doc terribly and am so thankful for all of the ways he helped to shape Jaron into the man he is today. He was a pretty special friend to me, too. ♥️

From the moment I was born, I was blessed with a “Daddy” (Tom Rach) who showed and taught me about Christ’s love. Watching my daddy’s daily self sacrifice and commitment to God and family made it easy for me to grow to know and trust my Heavenly Father — a Father my daddy taught me loved me even more than he did (and I knew that had to be a LOT!!!). For the record, I love my “Daddy” an awful lot, too. ♥️

Now, my children are blessed to be being shown that same love and example by the acts and decisions they see their daddy (Jaron) making for God and each of them every single day. I see their little hearts ever looking to him to ultimately help shape the way they view God and life, and it makes me pause and thank the Lord for men and fathers like Jaron that are willing to make the hard choices and choose what is right over what is easy.

To those of you out there that today may feel they have no father to celebrate, God tells us differently. The Bible says, “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God.” 1 John 3:1 This verse tells us that we all have a Heavenly Father who chose us and wants us as His own if we will only believe on Him and trust in His name. He is a Father who will never leave, forsake or fail us. What a comfort this is and what an extra special reason to celebrate this Father’s Day!!
